Cumbria Badminton Association is fully committed to creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in badminton across our county.
As an affiliated county organization, we strictly adopt and enforce the comprehensive safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practices established by our national governing body, Badminton England. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. We expect all county players, coaches, volunteers, parents, and affiliated clubs to uphold these high standards.

Codes of Conduct

Safe Club Environments & Workforce Standards
All affiliated clubs operating under Cumbria Badminton Association are required to actively manage risk and welfare. Additional guidance can be found on the Badminton England Making your Club Safe Hub.
DBS Checks & Training
All active county coaches, staff, and volunteers working with young people must hold a valid, enhanced DBS check through Badminton England and complete verified safeguarding training every three years.

3. Immediate Danger
If a child or adult at risk is in immediate danger, call the Police or local Social Services straight away on 999.

If you or someone in your club needs confidential personal support outside of standard reporting lines, these dedicated networks are available:
